Applications are currently being accepted for a number of Nordic-Baltic mobility grant programmes offering financial support for cooperation or knowledge exchange trips to the Nordic countries, which is an important tool for developing Nordic-Baltic cooperation on an equal footing. Applications are currently open for specialists in various fields.

NOIM or Nordic Organisational and Institutional Mobility Programme supports employees of institutions and organisations at all administrative levels (national and regional authorities, municipalities), employees of research institutes and representatives of NGOs or NGO networks. Support is open to one person or a group of persons from one institution in Latvia to specific Nordic organisations. It is also open to representatives of Nordic institutions for professional activity-related trips to Latvia.
Applications for this programme are accepted throughout the year.
Additional funding opportunities
1. NordForsk, an organisation that promotes Nordic-Baltic research cooperation, in cooperation with the Latvian Research Council has announced applications for funding in three areas:
Sustainable futures of forests. Deadline: 27.05.
Responsible use of artificial intelligence. Deadline: 13.05.
Sustainable health and social care systems for elderly. Deadline: 20.02.
2. Grant within the Nordic Embassy Cooperation Programme is available solely to the embassies and diplomatic missions of the Nordic countries to support cooperation and promotion of Nordic interests in the world. The programme is financed by the Nordic countries and is administered by the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Estonia.
Deadline for applications: 20.03.
IMPORTANT
Common eligibility criterion for most programmes is cooperation with the applicant’s existing partners in the Nordic countries. We kindly encourage timely getting familiar with the programme conditions and application requirements. Working language – English.
